Years ago I had a client approach me to do a family portrait, but she wanted something different; something unconventional. She showed me some inspirations that were African inspired and I came up with the beautiful idea to line them up, from a side profile point of view, and have the father at the top, going down to their youngest child. I love the unity of them, and it makes me think of the fragile strength of the Black family.
